Lauren Blue
My name is Lauren Blue, and I am the current Miss Black Alabama USA 2020. As a Huntsville native, I am excited to represent the city and state that molded me into the woman that I am today, at the national pageant in August. I am a graduate from the University of North Alabama with a master’s degree in business administration and a full-time entrepreneur. I am a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and I am the newsletter chairman for my local chapter, Epsilon Gamma Omega (Huntsville, AL).
For the past seven years, I have been competing in pageants and am honored to represent the state as Miss Black Alabama USA 2020. Miss Black USA is about embracing African American culture and inspiring women. The Miss Black USA organization encourages each contestant to give back with a community service platform. Throughout my pageant journey, I have implemented my personal platform, “Let’s Move!” Through Dance, inspired by former First Lady, Michelle Obama. With Alabama being one of the most obese states in the country, it is important to educate our youth on the importance of eating healthy and implementing physical activity in their everyday life. Overall, it is my ambition to visit with as many children as a can in schools and afterschool programs to speak with them about the ways that they can live a better lifestyle and how they can implement enjoyable and effective dancing exercises in their day-to-day schedule.
I would love to share more about my reign and journey to the 2020 crown and my platform to your audience. You can visit my Facebook page (Miss Black Alabama USA) and my Instagram page (@missblackalusa) for any additional information on me. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
