Jacolbi Hinton
Jacolbi Hinton is a 17 year old college bound student fborn and raised from Atlanta, GA. Jacolbi attended private school at a young age and was placed ahead because his teachers noticed his academic ability. He was accepted into the STEM Program at Rex Mill Middle School and from there competed and was selected to be a part of the Film and Media Magnet Program at Mundy’s Mill High School where he has now graduated. The prograr allotted him the opportunity to learn from and rub elbows with great names in the industry such as Will Packer, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Tyler Perry to name a few. During his high school career he became the captain of the Mundy’s Mill Varsity Golf Team and led his team to two Clayton County Championship titles. Jacolbi has accomplished honor roll and advanced placement courses throughout his academic career. He has been honored for receiving the highest SAT score in his school for the 20-21 academic year. He loves to give back to the community every chance he gets. He started working his junior year and is currently employed by Chic-Fil-A. He has been able to accomplish all these things while maintaining 3.7 GPA.
Jacolbi has been a member of the 100 Black Men of South Metro Atlanta chapter for four years and was nominated for the Posse scholarship where he became a finalist. Jacolbi has been accepted to numerous schools and has been awarded over $425,000 in scholarships. Ultimately, Jacolbi has chosen and committed to Savannah College of Art and Design and will continue his education there in the fall. Jacolbi will study Animation preparation for his future career as an animator.
Jacolbi has made his mother, Melissa T. Hinton, his older brother, Jaylin and younger brother, Jasiah very proud.
