With a keen eye for business development and growth, Gilberto Herrera has a track record for helping other businesses achieve their financial and customer acquisition goals. Working with entrepreneurs day to day led him down his own path to becoming an entrepreneur as well. He owns Gilberto Herrera Enterprises, the mother company to his media and consulting businesses which works with established and aspiring entrepreneurs in the areas of sales and marketing. He consults for several business including magazines and fortune 500 companies. Financial Literacy for all is a part of his mission, which caused him to create a financial services firm which now has 70 licensed agents across the southern belt.
He has been featured on Fox, CBS, NBC, Miami News, and Houston Weekly and has received the name “The King of Increase” for his ability to increase the worth of brands and net worth of individuals The New York Finance just listed him as a Top Entrepreneur to Watch in 2021. Lastly, he is a real estate investor with the focus on building a portfolio large enough to ensure others can invest at a low price and generate passive income and take advantage of appreciation.
Gilberto’s greatest strengths lay in his positive attitude, and leadership abilities. He thrives on the ability to be able to bring out the best in others and helping individuals achieve their goals. Challenges allow him to exercise critical thinking and application which are the driving force for his passion in sales and marketing.
Gilberto also loves to give back to the community in many ways. He has been actively involved with the Birmingham Urban League, Inc since 2011, where he was awarded for successfully developing programs that empowered the youth as well as the Birmingham Metro Area. He has also served as a mentor in the community with notable city leaders with the City of Birmingham’s My Brother’s Keeper initiative. Not to mention he also served on the PR and production teams for the United Negro College Fund Masked Ball; plays a major role in the success of the Birmingham Education Foundation on their Career Development Series in the Birmingham City School System, sits on the board of the Hispanic Interest Coalition of Alabama (HICA), the 100 Black of Metro Birmingham, and the AG Gaston Boys and Girls Club.Gilberto was born in the beautiful country of Panama and spent some of his childhood there; later being raised in Brooklyn, New York. Moving to Birmingham, AL is where the hunger for hard work and success was developed. Gilberto holds a degree in Computer Electronics and Telecommunications Technology from Herzing University. His most joy comes from spending time with his beautiful daughters; Brianna (17) and Jordyn (13). In his free time, he enjoys reading, serving in the community, and working out.
